Description
8 watt/foot, 120 volt, self-regulating, heater cable with tinned copper braid and UV resistant polyolefin outer jacket for wet applications. The cable is rated 8 watts per foot @ 32ºF (in ice/snow) and has 16 AWG Bus Wires.
This cable is designed for commercial and residential (non-hazardous) applications to create drain paths needed to prevent ice dams and ice build-up that can cause extensive damage to roof and gutter systems, without consuming excess energy. The power output will increase as ambient temperature decreases in the presence of ice or snowfall.
Suitable
for shake/shingle, metal, plastic, tar, rubber, and wood roofs,
metal, plastic, and wood gutters/downspouts. Also suitable for pipe
freeze protection for indoor/outdoor metal or plastic pipes.
